New International Series To Begin In Gold Coast, Australia and Bali, Indonesia



Bali Beach Run, Indonesia’s largest annual beach run event will soon be growing its footprints from the stunning beaches of Bali to the equally stunning beaches of Gold Coast, Australia.


The announcement was made today by the founder of Bali Beach Run, Mr. Hendra Lapusa, immediately after the immense success of its AirAsia Bali Beach Run 2015, which took place two days ago, on 6 September at Kuta Beach, Bali with 1,800 participants from around the globe.


hendra-lapusaMr. Hendra Lapusa, who first launched the extremely successful running event in 2013 in Bali said, “I am delighted to announce that we, together with our new Australian partner, Gold Coast Ultras will now bring Bali Beach Run to the international market with the new name; Beach Run International.


“Since our first run in 2013, Beach Run has been receiving overwhelming support from participants and partners from all over the region. It seems only natural for us to take it to the next step and introduce Beach Run International to the regional and international sporting community,” added Mr. Lapusa. 


Bali Beach Run is Indonesia's first run of its kind, introduced in November 2013 by PT. Trijaya Dewata. Bali Beach Run 2013 saw more than 1,500 runners taking part. It has since become a highly-anticipated event among local and international runners alike.


Mr. Ian Cornelius, founder of Gold Coast Ultras in Gold Coast, Australia, said, “I believe that our partnership with PT. Trijaya Dewata will be a rewarding and productive one. We have been following Bali Beach Run closely and from our analysis we see a huge demand for a running event of this kind here in Australia. 


In addition, Bali Beach Run has been running successfully consecutively over two years, and we would like to adopt this concept here as we introduce it to the Australian market as Beach Run International,” he added. 


Both parties, Bali Beach Run and Gold Coast Ultras, have agreed to name the event “International Beach Run” to represent the event’s spectacular combination of sports and holiday. Both series 1 and 2 will begin in 2016 in Gold Coast and Bali. All runners from both countries are invited to join. Registration for both series will be made easy with one simple click.
