The Bali Starling Aviary for the Bali Songbird
Bali has its own unique species of bird and it is called the Bali Starling. This beautiful bird is unfortunately a critically endangered species due to the destruction of the bird’s natural habitat and illegal wildlife trade. Thanks to the Bali Safari and Marine Park, the Bali Starling, also known as the Jalak Bali is now well on the road to recovery with the launch of the new Bali Starling Aviary that took place on 6 November 2017. In addition to being a site for the conservation of Indonesia’s endangered endemic birds, which also include the Asian Glossy Starling, Oriental Magpie Robin, Zebra Dove, Green Pigeon, and many more, the Aviary is also a great space for visitors to learn more of Bali’s natural wildlife and bird species. Located next to the Bali Agung Theatre, the Aviary gives visitors the sensation of being in an authentic jungle location; the actual home of the Bali Starling. Jl.
