Plataran Hosts 2nd Annual BNI Plataran Xtrail
On 6th October 2018, Plataran L’Harmonie – West Bali National Park will host the 2nd Annual Plataran XTrail event. The race, which is the first ever trail run in Bali, has gained a reputation as one of Indonesia’s most exhilarating annual trail running events. Furthermore, as a proud partner of the Asia Trail Master series, Plataran’s XTrail will serve as a qualifying round for the 2018 Asia Trail Master championship. Festivities surrounding the race will showcase the natural beauty of West Bali National Park, whilst also highlighting the culinary and cultural attractions that make the area unique.
The event, which is the first of its kind to be hosted in an Indonesian national park, features a range of competitions and attractions, including a 70km race for experienced endurance runners, a 30km for intermediate runners and a 7.2km for families and beginners. Plataran L’Harmonie – West Bali National Park is set to welcome participants and spectators from all over Indonesia and beyond. This year, the number of runners is expected to reach 750; representing a 50% increase on last year’s inaugural event.
Each year, Plataran XTrail represents a different cause; a selected program that fits with Plataran’s commitment to strengthening and supporting local communities, along with the preservation of our natural environment and wildlife resources. This year, Plataran aims to increase public awareness of costal and marine ecosystems through an endemic tree planting program and Bali Starling release program.
