The beautiful and intricate designs at Uluwatu Handmade Balinese Lace have long captured the hearts and minds of the stylish, and those looking for premium and elegant pieces that would outlast any trends. After 40 years of creating perfect handmade gems, today Uluwatu Lace is more popular than ever. We spoke to the brand’s fashion designer, Yunita Harun for her ideas and concept behind the designs.
The latest collection at Uluwatu Handmade Balinese Lace, the “Orchid Blossom” features an interesting twist while maintaining the brand’s classic signature style with lace emphasizing each in detail – there are asymmetrical hemlines and shapes reminiscent of the iconic 70s era. Flare structures and biased cuts dominate the look. “It’s all about elegance and timelessness, but there is also a slight edginess to an otherwise very feminine collection,” said Yunita. Semi culottes that are both midi and knee length are best worn with loose or fitted tops. Many dresses feature asymmetric cuts, giving the wearer a slim and lean look. All tops within this collection are either sleeveless or long-sleeved with plunging V necks and drapery and are fresh and elegant, classic and feminine.
