In the midst of General Elections yesterday (4/17), the people in Tibubeneng village, North Kuta were shocked by a fire incident that burnt down three luxury villas in the area. First Inspector (Iptu) Oka Bawa, the officer from North Kuta Police confirmed the fire incident which occurred around 5.30 PM local time. However, it is still unclear what had caused the fire. The incident is still under investigation of the North Kuta Police.
Chantelle (34), an Australian who is the owner of the villas said that the fire had burnt a unit of one-storey villa and two units of two-storey alang-alang and bamboo design villa. According to Iptu Oka Bawa, seven fire trucks were deployed from Badung regency to help in extinguishing the blaze. Unfortunately, since all the three building were located next to each other and others like strong wind and the construction materials which made the fire to easily destroy the villas.
Luckily, there were no deaths or injuries as a result of this fire since the villa owner was not in the area during the incident. However, it has resulted a large loss in property damage.
