New Autogates Installed at The International Departure Terminal of Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport
International passengers can now use the installed auto gates for their immigrational inspections at Ngurah Rai airport’s Immigration Check Point. The auto gates are installed by the Immigration Office Class I for Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport in helping with the inspection process.
Previously, the facilities are only available for Indonesian travellers only. These newly installed automated technology become part of a program by Ngurah Rai airport’s immigrational office with PT Angkasa Pura I in improving the service quality for the customers.
Six units of auto gate are installed at the Arrival Terminal for Indonesians, while the other 10 units are installed at the Departure Terminal for International passengers. The data, including finger prints and photos of the international passengers are taken at the immigrational check point after their first arrived in Bali so later they can use the auto gate facilities.
The machines reduce the time needed for the inspection processes. Passengers will have to go on a 35 to 60 second of immigrational inspection at the International Arrival terminal which include their finger prints and photos to be taken, while the auto gates at the International Departure terminal will do the automated checking which is 25 to 35 seconds for each passenger.
As to improve the service quality for both local and international passengers at Ngurah Rai Airport, the installed facilities are also expected to be able to reduce the passenger’s queue and the time needed for the immigrational checking process.
