Editorial February 2012 |

| Welcome to the magnificent island of Bali. This February have an enjoyable, safe holiday as we celebrate several different festivities. The colourful Balinese Hindu celebrations of Hari Raya Galungan and Kuningan will be taking place at the beginning of the month – watch out for brightly adorned streets and temples. Red Valentine's hearts and romance will add some spice to all our lives mid-month with hotels, spas and intimate beachside restaurants offering couples the chance to get really close.
This edition is packed with articles and good information, with the increasingly full map on our centre pages being seen as a reference around southern Bali to the major tourist areas, often noticed being pulled from bags and pockets. Also inside we have featured the following; Kayumanis for an amazing get-away from it all and be pampered like never before experience, Cocoon Beach Club in the heart of Legian has a delicious array of fresh fare and drinks to get us all partying to its DJs right on the ocean, Kokoya Japanese Restaurant is at the top of fashionable 'eat street' in Seminyak for some of the freshest catches, beachside Tugu Hotel over in beautiful Canggu has it all for those seeking a romantic Indonesian experience, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in popular Kuta has fun for the whole family to enjoy and the Bali Sea Dancer is an amazing charter boat from which to island hop in style or take for a whole week to visit the eastern spice islands. Happy reading and discovery!
We hope that you will find Bali's Biggest Little Guide Book helpful as you enjoy this beautiful island this February.
From all of us at Bali Plus, we wish you a wonderful holiday.
To all visitors,
“Om Swasti-Astu”
(Balinese for ‘Welcome’)

During the Galungan period the deified ancestors of the family descend to their former homes to be entertained by those on earth.
Although Galungan falls on a Wednesday, most Balinese will begin their Galungan 'holiday' the day before – on the 5th. 'Penjors' can be seen lining the streets to welcome good fortune to those who pass below to enter family homes...
