The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, stated that his team is going to set a new rule that will regulate the etiquettes for tourists during their visitation in Bali, Detik News reports. This to respond the series of inappropriate acts done by several tourists which had gone viral recently in the social media.
“There is (the new law regarding etiquettes for tourists), (we) will set it first. Definitely should give (tourists) directions, whether to those in Bali and the tourism itself, to respect the Balinese culture, the etiquettes, and the aesthetics when traveling to Bali,” stated Koster in Renon, Denpasar on Wednesday (8/14).
He further explained that Bali is one of the world’s travel destination but sadly that there are several inappropriate incidents occurred from its tourists. Koster also hopes that the new regulation will create a better management in Bali’s tourism industry.
“Bali is the world’s travel destination, now we have witnessed several unpleasant incidents here and there. The point is to better manage the tourism in Bali with a certain regulation,” added Koster.
During the past few weeks, there were several incidents by problematic tourists including the recent inappropriate acts by the two couple from Ceko, Zdenek Slouka and Sabina Dolezalova.
