A fire has been reported at the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) area of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport at around 1.24 PM local time, CNBC says. The fire came from a bus which parked in front of the building outside the GSE area. Luckily, the horror ended at around 1.40 PM after the airport’s officials managed to put down the fire. No injuries reported, the airport and all flights run normally.
The airport’s management confirmed the incident, “A fire has occurred at the airport’s GSE area on 1.25 PM,” stated the Senior Manager of Corporate Communication Angkasa Pura I, Awaluddin to press on Friday (9/6).
The cause of the fire is still unknown. Officials are still investigating to determine the cause of the fire incident from a bus which was parked at the airport’ GSE area. The management also stated their apologies for the inconvenience regarding the incident.
“We apologies for any inconvenience caused by the recovery activities around the area where the incident occurred.” Added Awaluddin.
