All regencies in Bali will participate in the annual World Clean Up Day. The event will take place on 21 September 2019 and will bring out together all levels of society— from locals to members of the hospitality industry to participate in the clean up activities across the regions in Bali.
“In order to awaken the consciousness of our society towards cleanliness in Bali, Suksma Bali has organized a simultaneous clean up where 8 regencies and 1 city will join forces on 21st September 2019 for a cleaner, healthier Bali. The aim is merely to lead by example, to celebrate the essence of cleanliness, to respect and thank Mother Nature that has provided us with such wonderful natural wealth,” stated Agus Suananda, CHA, Chairman of World Clean Up Bali Province 2019.
This year’s World Clean Up Day is organized by Suksma Bali, a non-profit organization that focuses in tourism and hospitality. The activities will start simultaneously across the island from 7 am to 9 am on Saturday, 21 September 2019. According to the agency, this upcoming World Clean Up Day in Bali is a way to show our gratitude towards mother nature.
World Clean Up Day unites millions of volunteers and partners worldwide in one of the world’s biggest civic movements for a greener world through a clean-up activity on beaches, rivers, forests, and streets in all around the world. The project first started in 2008 by around 50,000 Estonians who participated in their first ever a five-hours clean-up activity throughout the entire country.
