Passengers inside the Emirates’ flight number EK 450 was shocked by sudden clear air turbulence disrupted their flight to New Zealand.
The plane departed from Dubai, carrying 326 passengers and expected to land in Bali before heading to their destination in New Zealand. However, severe turbulence disrupted the flight on 35,000 feet above Singapore, Jakarta Post reported. Luckily on Tuesday (10/1) at 3.07 pm local time, the plane landed safely at Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport but several passengers reportedly injured and had immediately taken to the nearby hospitals.
The spoke person from Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport, Arie Ahsanurrohim, confirmed to ANTARA News on Tuesday (10/1), “A Clear Air Turbulence disrupts the flight while passing over Singapore and injured 11 of its passengers.”
Due to the incident, the flight had to be delayed for several hours before they can continue their trip. The aircraft is still at Ngurah Rai Airport for further examination and investigation. However, on Tuesday evening at 7.34 local time, all passengers have been reportedly departed to Auckland with a different plane.
