A group of robbers were caught entering and breaking into a number of large houses or mansions located along Jl. Drupadi in Renon last Friday (10/4) at about 3pm and reportedly escaped with IDR 50 million worth of cash, jewellery and a laptop, Radar Bali reports.

The residents of one of the houses, a mother and her son, were shocked when a group of four to five people broke into their house holding a samurai. Both mother and son tried to run away from the robbers by jumping off the second-floor balcony. They were found by a neighbour who rushed them to the hospital. The robbers also broke and entered into the other houses in the same neighbourhood before running away when a resident discovered them in the act.

The police believed that the same group broke into another mansion along Jl. Merdeka on Thursday (3/10) before moving on to another mansion along Jl. Badak Agung on Friday (10/4) at 2 PM. CCTV footage revealed a white car used by the robbers who were all wearing masks. Police are still in the process of identifying the vehicle’s registration numbers. Investigations are still underway.
