The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a warning to Indonesian citizens with plans to travel to Singapore. Travellers are urged to be extra cautious with the spread of the deadly Corona Virus. Currently, the alert level status for those visiting Singapore is at Yellow, which means “Increase Caution”. Despite the warning, there are no travel ban or restrictions for Indonesians wishing to visit the Lion City.
“At present, there are no travel restrictions to Singapore and there are no travel bans for Singaporeans wishing to visit Indonesia,” said Acting (Plt) Foreign Ministry Spokesman Teuku Faizasyah.
To date, 40 individuals have been infected by the Corona Virus in Singapore, one of whom is an Indonesian citizen. Two of those infected have fully recovered from the deadly virus. This figure was confirmed by the Singapore Ministry of Health on Sunday (9/2/2020).
