An unidentified dead body has been found washed up on the shores of Padang Galak Beach, Sanur, Bali on Thursday (20/2). Residents and holidaymakers visiting the beach were shocked when a local resident found the body which was lying unmoving along the waterline.
The unidentified man was thought to have been swept away by the waves and undercurrents at Padang Galak Beach. There were open wounds on his head which the authorities believed were caused by sand friction or corals, causing blisters around the head and blood on the lips. The body had tattoos on both arms and the victim is believed to be a local person.
“The body was found prone on the beach, wearing only blue shorts,” said Iptu Andi Muh Nurul Yaqin, Head of Public Relations Sub Unit of Denpasar Police, told reporters, according to detik.com
The body has been brought to Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar, for further examination.
