As of Saturday (3/21) the Airport Authority in charge of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, has received indications from several European countries who want to pick up their citizens who are still in Bali.
The Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak that has spread very quickly outside mainland China has forced the Indonesian Government to issue a policy of limiting visits from 8 countries, mainly Europe, and temporarily halting free tourist visas as well as visit visas for foreigners to Indonesia, which has been effective as of March 20, 2020
Some countries that have applied for permits to pick up their citizens include Germany, Uzbekistan and France. According to a statement from the Head of the Regional Airport Authority, Elfi Amir, on Sunday (22/3), in the near future there will also be a Polish plane that will pick up its citizens in Bali.
“The plane will arrive on March 23 at 12:40 Central Indonesian Time and depart on March 23 at 22:30 UTC or on the 24th at 06:40 Central Indonesian Time,” he said, as quoted by the Bali Post.
