Twin Lakes Festival
Located in the cool, mountainous region of north-central Bali, the Twin Lakes Festival aims to introduce agricultural products from the Buleleng region to the public. “Twin Lakes” refers to the picturesque twin lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan.
The festival creates opportunities for visitors to sample seafood selections and locally grown exotic fruits. With the popular bull races parade, traditional games and competitions, handicraft exhibition as well as traditional performances and performances by bands and Balinese artists, the festival offers entertainment for everyone. The people of Buleleng also perform traditional, unique sports at one of the festival events.
The Twin Lake Festival is one of a number of promotional efforts/ strategies for the development of tourism associated with the region’s agricultural and natural resources potential, as well as showcase the spiritual and cultural activities of the local community, with the aim of development of tourism in the local area and tourism in the Buleleng Regency in general.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Bali government may postpone or not carry out the Twin Lakes Festival this year. Please check ahead of time if you plan on travelling to the area.
