Health and beauty care are basic needs that are routinely carried out by the community on a regular basis. Health and beauty care services required by the public such as salons or barber shops all fall under the category of public facilities.
These places have the potential to become areas of transmission of Covid-19 because they require close contact between service providers and customers. Certain places will potentially cause crowds of customers.
The Covid-19 Public Communication Team, led by Doctor Reisa Broto Asmoro said that to keep facilities and services safe from Covid-19, it is necessary to apply health protocols that have been regulated in the directive of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. HK.0107/Menkes/382/2020, including requirements for businesses to provide hand washing facilities.
Other items that must be considered include the entire environment of beauty or hair care services and similar businesses as well as equipment used, which must be in a sterile condition and cleaned and disinfected regularly before and after use.
