The Bali Covid-19 Task Force provided the following updates on developments related to the coronavirus in Bali. As of Tuesday (14/7), the cumulative number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 reached 2,358 people (an increase of 101 Indonesian citizens with 100 from local transmissions and 1 imported case. The most cases (45) came from the Bangli District.
Bangli Covid-19 Task Force Spokesperson I Wayan Dirgayusa said that the addition of new cases originated from the Pasar Kidul cluster in Bangli.
The number of patients who have recovered rose to 1,572 people (an increase of 64 Indonesian citizens including 2 imported cases and 62 local transmissions). Most cases of recovery were from the city of Denpasar. Spokesperson for the Denpasar Covid-19 Task Force I Dewa Gede Rai announced an additional 42 confirmed Covid-19 cases had been declared cured on Monday (13/7).
No additional deaths were recorded. Cumulatively to date there are 27 official Covid-19 related deaths recorded (25 Indonesian citizens and 2 foreign citizens).
Official confirmed active cases in care total 759 people spread across 17 hospitals and quarantined at local health centers and hotels.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Bali is still largely dominated by local transmissions numbering 1,985 people. This means that there are still people not heeding or making efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 including by wearing masks, washing hands, practicing physical distancing etc. To suppress cases of local transmission, the community must be aware and disciplined in making efforts to prevent the spread of this virus.
