The daily number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 recoveries reached 2,133 as of Sunday (19/7). This is the highest daily record since the first official confirmed case of Covid-19 in Indonesia on March 2.

With the addition of the 2,133 recoveries, the total number of Covid-19 patients in Indonesia officially declared recovered reached 45,401 people.

“We report 2,133 recoveries today, bringing the total number of recoveries to 45,401” Government Covid-19 Spokesperson for Covid-19 Achmad Yurianto told a press conference at Graha BNPB in Jakarta on Sunday (19/7).

Based on the records, prior to today, the number of daily recoveries never exceeded 2,000 people in a day. The highest number of daily recoveries occurred on Friday (17/7) with 1,489 cases declared recovered.

Based on the Covid-19 Task Force daily report, of the 2,133 cases recovered, the most were from the greater Jakarta area with 313 cases, Central Java – 300 cases, East Java – 275 cases, South Sulawesi – 158 cases and South Kalimantan with 109 cases.

Aside from cases of recovery, Yurianto added that today there were an additional 1,639 new confirmed cases, bringing the total active cases to 86,521. An additional 127 deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 4,143.

“Ladies and gentlemen, there are 15 provinces that report under 10 (new) cases, and 5 provinces reporting no additional cases at all” he said.
