With the addition of 78 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 as of Saturday (22/8), the cumulative number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the province of Bali has reached 4,513 people.
Based on data from the Bali Provincial Covid-19 Task Force, up to 90.91% of confirmed cases of Indonesian citizens were via local transmission.
1 additional death was reported due to Covid-19. Cumulatively, the number deaths related to Covid-19 in Bali reached 52 cases.
However, the number of recovering patients also increased by 67. Cumulatively 3,881 people have been declared recovered in Bali.
Currently, 513 active Covid-19 cases are receiving treatment in Bali. These cases are spread across 17 referral hospitals, as well as quarantined at local health centers and hotels (Bapelkesmas, UPT Nyitdah, Wisma Bima, Ibis Hotel, Grand Mega Hotel and BPK Pering).
The city of Denpasar is still the region with the highest number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Bali.
As of Saturday (22/8), the cumulative number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Denpasar stood at 1,518 cases.
Next highest was Badung (605 cases), Bangli (483 cases), Gianyar (440 cases), Klungkung (413 cases), Karangasem (323 cases), Buleleng (306 cases), Tabanan (221 cases), and Jembrana (83 cases).
