Covid-19 Countermeasures Update, Sunday September 6th, 2020.
Last week, up to Sunday, the province of Bali recorded a very high increase of confirmed Covid-19 cases through local transmission.
Cumulatively, 6,212 confirmed cases have been recorded, with 5,017 recoveries (80.76%) and 105 deaths (1.69%).
Meanwhile, 1,090 active cases (17.55%) are receiving treatment, scattered across 17 referral hospitals and quarantined at local health centers (Bapelkesmas, UPT Nyitdah, Wisma Bima and BPK Pering).
Confirmed cases of Indonesian citizens through local transmission continue to increase sharply, with today’s total reaching 6,212 cases (93.19%).
The highest level of use of isolation rooms and ICU hospital beds is in Bali, with 90%. To free up capacity, the Government plans to transfer patients with mild and moderate symptoms to other facilities.
The Governor of Bali has issued PERGUB No. 46 of 2020, Regarding the Implementation of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols to Prevent and Control Covid-19 in the New Era, which regulates Administrative Sanctions for Health Protocol violators. A Rp. 100,000 fine for individuals, and Rp. 1,000,000 for business operators including public facilities has been implemented.
These control and prevention efforts are of course not only the government’s task, but also the responsibility of the entire community, because the impact is felt by all, especially in the economy.
