The province of Bali Province as of today updated the following statistics related to Covid-19: 100 new confirmed cases through local transmission, 157 recoveries, and 1 additional death.
The cumulative numbers of cases is as follows: 10,513 confirmed cases, 9,273 cases recovered (88.21%), and 340 deaths (3.23%). There are 900 active cases per day (8.56%) receiving treatment and spread across 17 referral hospitals and quarantined at local health centers and hotels.
In accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 6 of 2020, the Governor of Bali issued PERGUB No. 46 of 2020, which regulates administrative sanctions for violators of health protocols in place. A fine of Rp. 100,000 is applied for individuals, and Rp. 1,000,000 for businesses and other operators of public facilities who violate these protocols. These control and prevention efforts are not only the responsibility of the Government, but are also the responsibility of the public, as the impact is felt especially in the community as well as in the economy.
To break the chain of Covid-19 transmission, crowds attending cockfighting events in every traditional village must be temporarily stopped and all forms of customary activities that involve many people (such as pasangkepan and patedunan) and so that they are carried out with a very limited number of participants, while adhering to the health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Please continue to support the Government’s efforts with discipline in implementing health protocols, reminding each other to always protect ourselves and the environment so that we can end this pandemic sooner.
